Established in 2005, Asia Pacific Media Forum (APMF) has grown into one of the longest-running platforms for dialogue within the Asia Pacific marketing, advertising, and media industries. Organized by the Association of Asia Pacific Advertising Media (AAPAM), APMF was created as a response to a rapidly shifting media environment that required collective understanding across brands, agencies, publishers, and technology players.
From its earliest editions, APMF positioned itself as a space for shared learning rather than short-term exposure. Over time, it has evolved into a consistent meeting point where industry stakeholders examine how media, creativity, and technology shape consumer engagement across markets.
This long-term platform also shows how a
MICE and corporate event in Bali can connect industry dialogue, regional participation, and structured programming.
A Platform Shaped by Industry Change (2005–2024)
Over nearly two decades, APMF has reflected the transformation of the media and marketing ecosystem itself. The forum has accompanied major industry transitions, from the dominance of traditional media to digital acceleration, the rise of data-driven strategies, artificial intelligence, and immersive brand experiences.
Rather than framing itself around trends alone, APMF emphasizes continuity and context. Each edition builds on previous discussions, reinforcing its role as a reference platform rather than a standalone event. This continuity has allowed APMF to serve as an institutional memory for the industry. By returning each year with a renewed focus, the forum captures both change and progression, offering participants a longitudinal perspective that is increasingly rare in a fast-moving media environment.
The 10th Edition: Make Your Mark
The 10th edition of APMF carries the theme Make Your Mark, reflecting a collective call for industry participants to take an active role in shaping the future of media, marketing, and communication. The theme highlights intent and accountability, encouraging stakeholders to move beyond reactive tactics toward purposeful and lasting impact.
This milestone edition reaffirms APMF’s commitment to convening industry leaders not only to observe change, but to understand, question, and contribute to it.
Venue Evolution and Event Execution (2005–2024)
Since its early editions, APMF has demonstrated a consistent approach to venue selection as part of its experience design. Each location reflects the forum’s growth, scale, and evolving program structure over time.
Early editions in 2005 and 2008 laid the foundation for APMF’s format, while the 2010 edition marked a milestone by taking place at Grand Hyatt Bali, supporting a more structured conference setting. In 2012, APMF was hosted at Bali International Convention Center, reflecting its expanding scale and regional relevance.
From 2014 onward, APMF established a long-term relationship with Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center, hosting editions in 2014, 2016, 2018, 2022, and 2024. This continuity allowed the forum to develop a more integrated event structure, bringing conference sessions, labs, immersive playgrounds, and networking spaces together within a single venue. Experienced event production services in Bali supported this evolving format across editions.
Beyond location, APMF’s execution is supported by experienced production and event partners. Event production has involved vendors such as Gloria Production, Focus Production, and Circle Lighting, ensuring technical consistency across editions. Show management has been handled by teams including Standby Show Management and O2 Event Management, contributing to operational flow and on-ground coordination. Consistent event photo and video coverage also preserved each edition’s key moments.
Across multiple editions, the forum has also been guided on stage by Olga Lydia as Master of Ceremony, reinforcing a sense of continuity and familiarity for participants over the years.
Leadership and Committee Structure
APMF’s continuity is supported by clear governance and structured leadership. The forum is chaired by Andi Sadha, supported by a multidisciplinary committee responsible for strategy, programming, partnerships, operations, and content.
The organizing structure includes executive leadership, event direction, sponsorship, marketing, content development, media relations, and a steering committee composed of senior industry figures such as; Edi Taslim, Irfan Ramli, Jerry Justianto, Triawan Munaf, Danny Wirianto, Eka Sugiarto, Ricky Pesik, and Janoe Arijanto. This layered governance ensures accountability and consistency, contributing to the forum’s ability to sustain relevance since its establishment in 2005.
The forum’s operations are supported by experienced event and creative partners, including Alpha Seven Creative Event. Under the leadership of Dr. Paulus Herry Arianto, M.A., Alpha Seven contributes operational and experiential expertise that supports the execution of APMF within a structured and professional framework. - Anny Havercroft, Head of Global Business Marketing SEA, TikTok
- Budiono, Managing Director & AI Lead, Accenture

Their participation reinforces APMF’s role as a forum for substantive discussion, bridging creativity, technology, and business strategy.
An Ecosystem Supported by Industry Partners
APMF is supported by collaboration with industry partners across media, technology, telecommunications, and content platforms. These partnerships contribute to the operational infrastructure, content delivery, and experiential formats that shape the forum.
Organizations within the Emtek Group ecosystem, including Vidio, support digital distribution and content amplification, while media networks such as Kompas Gramedia, Trans TV, and Trans7 contribute to broader media reach and public engagement.
From the brand side, long-standing consumer brands such as Tehbotol Sosro, Air Mineral Prima, and iForte support on-ground experiences and participant engagement, reinforcing the forum’s connection to everyday consumer culture. Together, these partners enable APMF to function not as a promotional showcase, but as a working ecosystem where dialogue, experimentation, and industry exchange take place across multiple touchpoints.
Continuity Beyond the Event
In an industry often driven by short cycles and immediate metrics, platforms like APMF play a different role. They offer space for pause, reflection, and cross-disciplinary exchange. The forum’s value lies not in novelty, but in its ability to convene stakeholders who rarely sit in the same room within a shared framework.
This role becomes increasingly relevant as media fragmentation grows and industry conversations risk becoming siloed. What distinguishes APMF is its commitment to continuity. While each edition responds to contemporary industry realities, the forum’s structure, governance, and accumulated knowledge create progression rather than repetition.
As the media and marketing landscape continues to evolve, APMF remains positioned as a platform for intentional dialogue. Its history from 2005 to 2024 reflects not only longevity, but a sustained commitment to industry literacy, collaboration, and shared growth across the Asia Pacific region.
